Best Non-Profit Event
For "That's Life"

The classic nightclub era was back for just one unforgettable evening - a hospital fundraiser honoring nurses and celebrating the evening’s life-giving mission and generosity of spirit. Guests were transported to the swinging’ Rat Pack era of elegance and élan including a floor show by the purveyors of cool...Frank, Sammie and Dean; cigarette girls and performance “flair” bartenders; a timeless feast; and even Edward R. Murrow. The evening ended with dancing to a swing band featuring music from the American Songbook while guests enjoyed after-dinner drinks of pink ladies and grasshoppers. Coat and tie was required: black tie of course.

International Special Event Society (ISES)  2008 Star Award Winner and National Esprit Award Nominee

Best ISES Team Entry
For "sciparty"

Sciparty was created to commemorate a major metropolitan museum’s centennial year with a gala event.  The evening featured a custom menu and recipes using 100-year old Lakota Squash seeded and grown for the occasion.  Science luminaries appeared on video and in-person, national entertainment and seldom-seen treasures from the museum’s vaults brought the museum and its mission to life.  Custom décor and an unusual seating arrangement accommodated a sold-out ballroom.  A collaboration of ISES event-producers, ISES caterers and ISES décor and floral specialists created a winning formula which exceeded fundraising goals and continues to garner plaudits from attendees.
